6 Things Every Dancers Needs.



1. Yoga Mat

Yoga mats are great for stretching. Whether you are in a light or deep stretch, the mat will give you that extra layer between you and the ground. Yoga mats will also assist in an added grip reducing the chances of slipping. Having that extra cushion will also decrease the risk of injury.

2. Subscription to Virtual Classes

Whether you follow a Youtube channel or are a part of a virtual subscription, both are very beneficial as a dancer. This is a fantastic community to be a part of as you are traveling, on the road, etc. You can always take these lessons on the go and pull up a class as frequently as you’d like.

3. Elastic Bands

Elastic bands are so versatile in your exercises. By adding a band to your workout you are helping in building muscle mass and tone. You can place the band almost anywhere- from your wrists to your ankles, you can do almost anything. Also let's talk about how reasonably priced they are!

4. At Home (portable) Barre

Having this available for your at home practice is super beneficial. All those ballet and barre stretches at the studio you can now do at home as well. Practicing your basics is the root to all your movements. If this is out of budget, you can always use a chair at home!

5. Dance/Progression journal

Journaling is everything. Bringing a journal into your dance practice will guide you through all your growth. You can re-read when needed and check in on the progressions you have made. Not only can you record your strengths and opportunities but also your daily emotions before and after your practice. Put it all on paper, this is for you and only you to review. 6. TRX Suspension Trainer

We all knew this was coming, saving the BEST for last! Owning a TRX strap is truly one of the best purchases you can make as a dancer. Adding this strap to your workouts and stretches will improve your balance, flexibility, strength, endurance and stamina. The TRX suspension trainer does it ALL.
